Questions and answers — Findit Framer

Is Findit for Framer really free? Yes. Copy it, build your site with it and publish it. What you may do with the template itself is set by the terms on the page where you got it (Framer Marketplace or framebrick.co) — in short, use it for your sites, don’t resell the template.

Do I need a paid Framer plan? No, to build and publish on a free framer.website address. Yes, for a custom domain: Findit has seven CMS collections, so it needs Framer’s Pro plan — see Which Framer plan do you need?.

My change on Desktop didn’t appear on Phone. The Phone breakpoint has its own value for that property. Select the layer on Phone and reset the override, or make the change there too (Getting started).

A new CMS item doesn’t show on the site. Its Status is Draft, or the site hasn’t been published since. Set it to Live and publish.

A property shows the wrong agent, location or category. They are references: edit the item’s Agent, Location or Property Category field in the CMS, not the text on the page.

A city card on Home shows the wrong number of properties. The count is the Property Number field of the location, typed by hand. Update it when you add or remove a property there (The CMS).

Every property shows “Beds: 4 · Baths: 2 · Sqft: 1150”. The Features row at the top of the property page is text set on the page, not connected to the CMS. Select each of the three numbers on the Property page, click the small circle beside Content in the right panel and choose the property’s Bedrooms, Bathrooms or Size field.

“Show on map” opens the same address on every property. The link on the property page is fixed. Select it on the Property page and connect its link to the property’s Google Map field.

Every property shows the same video. The video block on the property page is not connected to the property’s Video Link yet. Select the YouTube player on the Property page and connect its link to Video Link; Video Visible hides the block.

Every agent page shows one agent’s phone numbers and email. The “Contact me” texts on the Agent page are set by hand; the links behind them are right. Connect each text to the agent’s Phone, Mobile Phone, Whatsapp and Email fields.

The blog cards cut the text in the middle of a word. The card shows the Excerpt field, and the demo posts’ excerpts stop after a hundred characters. Write your own: one or two short, complete sentences.

A form doesn’t send anything. It has no destination yet, or the site wasn’t published after adding one. Add one under Send to (Forms), publish, and test on the live site.

The footer newsletter form doesn’t say “Thank you”. The form has no redirect, and its confirmation is not clearly visible in the template. Add a Redirect to a thank-you page (a copy of /success/scheduled works), or restyle the send button’s success state in the Footer component.

Framer says a component has an update. Components from Framer (in Assets → Components → Framer) are updated by Framer from time to time. Updating is usually safe; check the pages that use it afterwards.

Where do the photos and the video come from? The photos are from Unsplash and the hero video is from Pexels. They are fine to keep while you build; replace them with your own before you publish, so the site shows your listings and your team.
