The CMS — Findit Framer

Properties, agents, locations, categories, blog posts, testimonials and legal texts live in Framer’s CMS. Add an item and its page, its card in every list, its place in the filters and its links appear by themselves.

Open it from the top-left menu → CMS (Alt + 2). The left panel lists the collections; the Fields tab shows the fields of the selected collection.

Collection Items Feeds
Property 21 /property, one page per property, the filters, Featured and Latest properties on Home, each agent’s list, “More” and “Related” on a property page
Location 6 One page per location (/filter/location/…), the city cards on Home, the location chips of the filter
Property-Category 5 One page per category (/filter/property-category/…), the category tabs of Latest properties, the category chips of the filter
Agent 3 /agent, one page per agent, the agent card on every property
Blog 12 /blog, one page per post, the posts on Home and “More” under each article
Testimonial 12 The two moving rows of testimonials on Home and About
Legal 2 Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, one page each

Every item has a Status: Live items are published, Draft items are not. Use Draft to prepare an item before it goes online. The order of the items in the list is the order on the site — drag the handle on the left to reorder.

Property has a For option (Rent or Sell) rather than a collection of its own: it sets the label on the card and which of the two type pages lists the property.

  1. Select Property, then + (top left of the table).
  2. Fill in every field. The Slug becomes the address — lower case, words joined by -.
  3. Pick the Property Category, Agent and Location from the lists; add a missing one to its collection first.
  4. Add the photos, the details and the utility toggles. Give the property a new Property ID.
  5. Set the Status to Live and publish the site.

The property appears on its own page, in the lists, in the filters and in the sitemap. Two things do not update themselves:

  • Property Number on a location is a number typed by hand; raise it when you add a property there, or the city card on Home keeps the old count.
  • Featured decides what Home’s Featured section shows, in the order of the table.
  • Agent: fill the fields above; a new agent needs no list of their own — their page lists every property that names them.
  • Location: add the name, a slug, a photo and the property count. The city card, the location page and the chip appear.
  • Property-Category: a name and a slug. It becomes a tab in Latest properties and a chip in the filter.
  • Blog post: as above, with an image and an excerpt.
  • Legal text: a title, a slug, a date and the text.

The detail pages use their collection’s page design (in Pages, the nested page under /property, /agent, /blog, /filter/location, /filter/property-category and /legal). Change that design once and every item follows.

For, Duration, Category (Blog) and Rating are option fields: open the field in Fields to add, rename or remove an option. Renaming an option renames it on every item.

Location has an item No Location and Property-Category an item Uncategory: fallbacks for a property without a real location or category. They have no properties, no link from any page and no card on Home. Keep them, or set them to Draft once no property uses them.

The home hero, the benefits, how it works, the numbers, the team and timeline on About, the questions and answers, the contact details and the footer are regular content on the pages: select the text or image on the canvas and edit it.
