Connect Framebrick to GitHub Copilot
Add the Framebrick MCP server (https://mcp.framebrick.co, free, no account, no key) to GitHub Copilot. The steps follow GitHub Copilot’s own documentation (Copilot in VS Code (the VS Code docs), Copilot CLI: add MCP servers, Copilot coding agent: extend with MCP); we have not run GitHub Copilot ourselves. We tested the server with the official MCP TypeScript client.
GitHub Copilot reads MCP servers in three places. Pick yours.
In VS Code
Section titled “In VS Code”Copilot Chat uses VS Code’s MCP support: follow Connect Framebrick to VS Code.
Copilot CLI
Section titled “Copilot CLI”Run /mcp add, give the server a name, choose HTTP as the type, paste the URL, leave the headers empty, enter * for the tools and press Ctrl+S. Or edit ~/.copilot/mcp-config.json:
{ "mcpServers": { "framebrick": { "type": "http", "url": "https://mcp.framebrick.co", "tools": [ "*" ] } }}Check it with copilot mcp list and copilot mcp get framebrick. The server is available without restarting the CLI.
The Copilot coding agent on GitHub
Section titled “The Copilot coding agent on GitHub”In the repository go to Settings, then Copilot, then MCP servers, and paste the JSON. The tools list is mandatory ("*" enables every tool):
{ "mcpServers": { "framebrick": { "type": "http", "url": "https://mcp.framebrick.co", "tools": [ "*" ] } }}- Add the registry to your project’s
components.jsonso the install commands resolve: see the MCP server page. - Install the Agent Skills:
curl -fsSL https://framebrick.co/install | node -. - Ask in plain language: “Plan a landing page for a branding studio from Framebrick blocks.”
