Connect Framebrick to VS Code
Add the Framebrick MCP server (https://mcp.framebrick.co, free, no account, no key) to VS Code. The steps follow VS Code’s own documentation (VS Code: MCP servers, VS Code: MCP configuration reference); we have not run VS Code ourselves. We tested the server with the official MCP TypeScript client.
Add the server
Section titled “Add the server”Run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette, or create .vscode/mcp.json in the workspace. The type is required:
{ "servers": { "framebrick": { "type": "http", "url": "https://mcp.framebrick.co" } }}MCP: Open User Configuration opens the file for your profile, to have the server in every workspace. VS Code tries Streamable HTTP first and falls back to SSE.
Check it
Section titled “Check it”Run MCP: List Servers, pick the server to see its status, and choose Show Output for its log.
- Add the registry to your project’s
components.jsonso the install commands resolve: see the MCP server page. - Install the Agent Skills:
curl -fsSL https://framebrick.co/install | node -. - Ask in plain language: “Plan a landing page for a branding studio from Framebrick blocks.”
