Which Framer plan do you need?
You can remix, edit and publish a template for free. You need a paid Framer site plan when you want your own
domain, like yourcompany.com, and the plan has to be big enough for the template. This page helps you pick before you
pay. Prices and limits are Framer’s, read from framer.com/pricing on 30 September
2026; they change, so look there before you decide.
The short answer
Section titled “The short answer”- Trying it, or editing without publishing: the free plan. A free Framer account is enough to copy a template and change everything in it.
- A site on your own domain: Basic or Pro. Pick Basic only if the template needs no more than two CMS collections; otherwise you need Pro.
- Not sure: remix it, open the CMS panel and count the collections. Nothing is charged until you upgrade a site.

A year on Basic costs $120 billed yearly or $180 billed monthly; a year on Pro costs $360 or $540 (before tax). A yearly plan includes a free domain for the first year. More people editing the same site cost $20 a month each; viewers are free. Framer describes the free plan as best for non-commercial use, so plan on a paid plan for a business site.
Check what your template needs
Section titled “Check what your template needs”- CMS collections. On the template’s page, What’s inside lists its pages and marks the CMS ones (a blog post, a service, a project…). Each of those is the page of its own collection, so the number of CMS pages is the least number of collections. Basic includes two, so a template that shows three or more CMS pages needs Pro. Most Framebrick templates do; a few show only one or two, and those can fit Basic if you add no more collections. The exact number is in the CMS panel after you remix.
- CMS items. Basic holds 1,000 items across its collections, Pro 2,500. A new site uses a few dozen; the limit matters for large archives and directories.
- Pages. Most templates list between a handful and about fifteen pages, far below Basic’s 30. Framer’s plan pages do not say whether every CMS item counts as a page, so if you plan hundreds of posts, ask Framer Support before you choose.
- Bandwidth. A new site is far below 50 GB a month. Framer says it tells you when a site nears a limit, and asks you to upgrade when you reach one.
You can change plan at any time from the site’s settings in Framer, so starting on Basic and moving to Pro when a limit shows up is a valid way to begin.
