Connect Framebrick to JetBrains

Add the Framebrick MCP server (https://mcp.framebrick.co, free, no account, no key) to JetBrains. The steps follow JetBrains’s own documentation (Junie: MCP configuration (CLI), Junie: MCP settings (plugin), AI Assistant: MCP); we have not run JetBrains ourselves. We tested the server with the official MCP TypeScript client.

JetBrains has two agents with MCP support. Pick yours.

Junie reads .junie/mcp/mcp.json in a project and ~/.junie/mcp/mcp.json for every project (the plugin’s MCP settings page opens the same file):

{
"mcpServers": {
"framebrick": {
"url": "https://mcp.framebrick.co"
}
}
}

In the Junie CLI /mcp lists the servers with their status (Active, Inactive, Failed or Disabled); the plugin shows each server’s status and tools on its MCP settings page.

Open Settings | Tools | AI Assistant | Model Context Protocol (MCP), click Add, choose the HTTP connection type, paste the JSON, then OK and Apply:

{
"mcpServers": {
"framebrick": {
"url": "https://mcp.framebrick.co"
}
}
}

AI Assistant connects over Streamable HTTP and also supports the older SSE. The status column in the MCP settings table shows the connection; click it to see the tools.

  • Add the registry to your project’s components.json so the install commands resolve: see the MCP server page.
  • Install the Agent Skills: curl -fsSL https://framebrick.co/install | node -.
  • Ask in plain language: “Plan a landing page for a branding studio from Framebrick blocks.”
