Publish and connect a domain

Click Publish in the top right of the editor. The first time, Framer puts the site on a free Framer address; every later Publish updates it within seconds, with HTTPS included.

Want a nicer free address? In Site Settings → Hosting → Domains you can pick your own name on a Framer domain, like yourname.framer.website.

Before you publish, check

• The demo text, names, addresses and social links — in the pages, the header and the footer.
• The photos: replace the demo images with your own.
• The forms send somewhere (Forms).
• The title, description and share image (Title, description and share image).
• Every page on Desktop, Tablet and Phone in the preview.

Connect your own domain

A custom domain like yourcompany.com needs a paid Framer site plan. A yearly plan includes a free domain for the first year — Claim a free custom domain in the same place, and Framer sets it up for you.

To connect a domain you already own:

1. Open Site Settings → Hosting → Domains and choose Connect a domain you own.
2. Enter the domain. Framer shows the DNS records to add.
3. Add those records at the company where you bought the domain (its DNS settings). For a main domain Framer asks for A records and a www CNAME; for a subdomain, one CNAME. Remove old A or AAAA records that point elsewhere.
4. Wait for Framer to confirm. DNS changes usually take minutes, sometimes up to 48 hours.

Use the exact values Framer shows you — they’re the ones that count.

After it’s live

• Open the site on your phone and a laptop and click through every page, menu and form.
• Tell Google about it (After you publish).
