Going live — Findit Framer
Everything to do before and after you press Publish: your site’s title, description and images, going live on a free Framer address or your own domain, and what to check once it is live. The steps that are the same for every Framer template are in the Framer guides.
Before you publish
Section titled “Before you publish”Open the top-left menu → Settings (Alt + 5).
| Where | What to change |
|---|---|
| General → Title, Description | Your site’s name and one-sentence description. The template ships with “Findit - Real Estate and Property Website” and “Findit is a Framer template specializing in buying and renting properties…” — replace both |
| General → Language | The language of your content |
| General → Accessibility | Turn on, so visitors who prefer reduced motion get a calm site (Making it look like your brand) |
| General → Site images | Your favicon, the social preview shown when someone shares a link (1200 × 630) and the Apple touch icon (180 × 180) |
| General → Google Analytics | Your G-… measurement ID, if you use it |
| Page settings → each page | A title and description of its own. Every page of the template inherits the site title and description, so search results show the same text for all of them; write one per page, and for the CMS pages (Property, Agent, Blog, Location, Property-Category, Legal) connect the fields — the property’s title and excerpt, for example — so every item gets its own |
Then go through the content:
- Remove the floating “Use for FREE” and “More Templates” buttons. They promote the template and would go live on your site. They are the More Template component in the layout every page uses: open Assets → Templates → Template (or select a page and choose Edit in the Template section of the right panel), select More Template in the Layers panel, and delete it on Desktop, Tablet and Phone.
- The demo text and the name “Findit”, the contact details on the Contact page and in the footer (the address, the two
phone numbers and
info@findit.com, which belongs to a real company — replace it), the “Findit by Marcframe” line in the footer, and the social links. - The photos: the demo uses photos from Unsplash; replace them with your own, in the pages and in the CMS. Replace the hero video too (Making it look like your brand).
- The properties, agents, locations, posts and testimonials (The CMS), and the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy in the Legal collection: they are examples, not legal advice — have yours written or reviewed for your country.
- All four forms send somewhere (Forms).
- The 404 page.
Publish
Section titled “Publish”Click Publish (top right). The first time, Framer gives the site a free address (<name>.framer.website); every later
click updates it. Your site is live with HTTPS immediately.
Your own domain
Section titled “Your own domain”A custom domain needs a paid Framer site plan, and Findit needs Pro because of its seven CMS collections (which plan?). Then Settings → Domains, add the domain, and follow the DNS instructions for your registrar. Framer issues the certificate for you.
After it is live
Section titled “After it is live”- Check every page on a phone and a laptop: menu, the property filters, the gallery and the tour form on a property, the tabs, tickers, accordions, all four forms.
- Send yourself a test submission from each form.
- Check the share card: paste your address into a chat or https://www.opengraph.xyz.
- Tell Google: add the site to Search Console and submit
https://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml— Framer generates the sitemap. It lists every page, including the two fallback pages No Location and Uncategory (see The CMS) unless you set those items to Draft. - Analytics: Framer’s own analytics are under the top-left menu → Analytics; other tools can be added in Settings → Code.
Keep it moving
Section titled “Keep it moving”A new listing, agent or post is a CMS item (The CMS): add one, set it Live, publish. Take a sold property off the site by setting it to Draft, and update the Property Number of its location.
