Going live — Kalme Framer

Everything to do before and after you press Publish: your site’s title, description and images, going live on a free Framer address or your own domain, and what to check once it is live. The steps that are the same for every Framer template are in the Framer guides and Title, description and share image.

Open the top-left menu → Settings (Alt + 5).

Where What to change
General → Title, Description Your site’s name and one-sentence description. The template ships with “Kalme - Digital Marketing Agency Website” and “Framer Template for Digital Marketing Agency Website” — replace both
General → Language The language of your content (English in the template)
General → Accessibility Turn on, so visitors who prefer reduced motion get a calm site (Making it look like your brand)
General → Site images Your favicon, the social preview shown when someone shares a link (1200 × 630) and the Apple touch icon (180 × 180)
Page settings → each page A title and description of its own. Every page of the template inherits the site title and description, so search results show the same text for all of them; write one per page, and for the CMS pages (Services, Projects, Blog, Legal) connect the fields — the title and short description or excerpt — so every item gets its own

Then go through the content:

  • The demo text and the name “Kalme”, and the leftovers listed in Questions and answers: the agency named “Nitip” in the project stories, the “BrightWave Digital Agency” address, and the @kalme.com e-mails — kalme.com belongs to someone else, so replace every one of them with yours.
  • The contact details on the Contact page and in the footer (the address, +44 20 7946 0854 and the e-mail), the opening hours, the copyright line in the footer (its year is typed: update it), and the social links.
  • The booking links: “Schedule a call” in the footer, “Book free consultation” in the call to action and each service’s Action Link point to cal.com — set your own booking page.
  • The photos: the demo uses photos from Unsplash; replace them with your own, in the pages, in the components (the showreel and the gallery) and in the CMS. Replace the three videos too (Making it look like your brand).
  • The services, prices, projects, posts and testimonials (The CMS), the team on About, and the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy in the Legal collection: they are examples, not legal advice — have yours written or reviewed for your country.
  • The Contact form sends somewhere and requires an e-mail (Forms).
  • The 404 page.

Click Publish (top right). The first time, Framer gives the site a free address (<name>.framer.website); every later click updates it. Your site is live with HTTPS immediately. On the free plan Framer adds a small “Made in Framer” badge; a paid site plan removes it.

A custom domain needs a paid Framer site plan, and Kalme needs Pro because of its six CMS collections (which plan?). Then Settings → Domains, add the domain, and follow the DNS instructions for your registrar. Framer issues the certificate for you.

  1. Check every page on a phone and a laptop: the menu, the services accordion, the pricing switch on a service page, the videos, the Contact form.
  2. Send yourself a test submission from the Contact form.
  3. Check the share card: paste your address into a chat or https://www.opengraph.xyz.
  4. Tell Google: add the site to Search Console and submit https://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml — Framer generates the sitemap.
  5. Analytics: Framer’s own analytics are under the top-left menu → Analytics; other tools can be added in Settings → Code.

A new case study, service or post is a CMS item (The CMS): add one, set it Live, publish. Take one off the site by setting it to Draft.
