Going live — Tustel Framer
What to do before and after you publish Tustel: titles, descriptions and images, a free Framer address or your own domain, and the checks once it is live.
The steps that are the same for every Framer template are in the Framer guides and Title, description and share image.
Before you publish
Section titled “Before you publish”Open the top-left menu → Settings (Alt + 5).
| Where | What to change |
|---|---|
| General → Title, Description | Your site’s name and one-sentence description. The template ships with “Tustel - Personal Portfolio for Photographer and Creative Design” and a description that calls the site “a modern Framer portfolio template”: replace both. |
| General → Language | The language of your content (English in the template). |
| General → Accessibility | Turn it on, so visitors who prefer reduced motion get a calm site (Making it look like your brand). |
| General → Site images | Your favicons (light and dark), the social preview shown when someone shares a link (1200 × 630) and the Apple touch icon (180 × 180). The template’s are the demo’s: Alex Carter’s “AC” monogram, and a picture of the Home page as the social preview. |
| Page settings → each page | A title and description of its own. Every page of the template leaves them empty, so all 27 pages show the site’s title and description in search results. Write one per page. For the CMS pages, connect the fields so every item gets its own: Project Title and Short Description for a project, Post Title and Excerpt for a post, and their Main Image or Post Image as the social preview. |
Then go through the content:
- Demo text: the name Alex Carter, and the leftovers listed in Questions and answers.
- The e-mail
hello@alexcarter.com(Home, Contact and every project page) is on a domain the template doesn’t own. Replace it with yours everywhere. - Contact details: the phone number, the location and the response time in “Let’s work together” (Section/Contact), the social links (Behance, Dribbble, Instagram, Youtube) in the Home and About heroes and the footer, and the footer’s note, “Available worldwide · © 2026 Alex Carter” (its year is typed: update it).
- “Book a call” opens cal.com’s home page. Point it to your own booking page, or to your Contact page: in the header (Section/Header, phone menu included), the Home and About heroes, the photo band (Section/CTA) and “Let’s work together” (Section/Contact).
- Photos and logos: the demo uses photos from Unsplash and sample client logos. Replace them with your own, in the pages, in the components and in the CMS.
- The counters: 80+ Years Experience, 120+ Projects Completed, 45+ Happy Clients and 18 Awards Received are the demo’s (Misc/Stats, on Home and About).
- Your own content: the projects, services, testimonials and posts (The CMS), the About page and the specialities in the Home hero.
- The form sends somewhere and shows your own placeholders (Forms).
- The 404 page.
Publish
Section titled “Publish”Click Publish (top right). The first time, Framer gives the site a free address (<name>.framer.website); every
later click updates it. Your site is live with HTTPS immediately. Until the site has a paid Framer site plan, Framer adds
a small “Made in Framer” badge.
Your own domain
Section titled “Your own domain”A custom domain needs a paid Framer site plan, and Tustel needs Pro because of its four CMS collections (which plan?). Then add the domain in the site’s settings and follow the DNS instructions for your registrar (step by step). Framer issues the certificate for you.
After it is live
Section titled “After it is live”- Check every page on a phone and a laptop:
- the menu, the phone menu, and the header as you scroll down and back up;
- the Catalog / List switch, the services and the testimonials on Home;
- Works and Blog loading more as you scroll;
- the contact form.
- Send yourself a test submission from the form.
- Check the share card: paste your address into a chat or https://www.opengraph.xyz.
- Tell Google: add the site to Search Console and submit
https://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml. Framer generates the sitemap. - Analytics: Framer’s own analytics are under the top-left menu → Analytics. Other tools can be added as custom code in Settings; the template has none of its own.
Keep it moving
Section titled “Keep it moving”A new project or post is a CMS item (The CMS): add one, set it Live, publish. Take one off the site by setting it to Draft.
