Going live — Titen Framer
Everything to do before and after you press Publish: your site’s title, description and images, going live on a free Framer address or your own domain, and what to check once it is live. The steps that are the same for every Framer template are in the Framer guides and Title, description and share image.
Before you publish
Section titled “Before you publish”Open the top-left menu → Settings (Alt + 5).
| Where | What to change |
|---|---|
| General → Title, Description | Your site’s name and one-sentence description. The template ships with “Titen - Construction & Architecture Website” and “Framer Template for Construction & Architecture Website”: replace both. |
| General → Language | The language of your content (English in the template) |
| General → Accessibility | Turn it on, so visitors who prefer reduced motion get a calm site (Making it look like your brand) |
| General → Site images | Your favicons (light and dark), the social preview shown when someone shares a link (1200 × 630) and the Apple touch icon (180 × 180). The template’s touch icon shows only the orange square of the mark: upload a full one. |
| Page settings → each page | A title and description of its own. Every page of the template inherits the site title and description, so search results show the same text for all of them. Write one per page. For the CMS pages (Projects, Services, Blog, Project Category), connect the fields so every item gets its own: the title, and the overview or excerpt. The project and post pages read “… - My Framer Site” in the template. |
Then go through the content:
- The advertisement for the template. Delete it from your site: the header’s “Use template” button (it links to the template’s sales page) and the More Template component (Assets → Components → Marcframe). Find them with the Layers search. Point the header button to your contact page instead.
- Demo text: the name “Titen”, and the leftovers listed in
Questions and answers. The e-mails on
titenstudio.comandtiten.comare on domains the template doesn’t own, so replace every one with yours. - Contact details: the addresses (the footer and the Contact page show two different ones), the phone number, the e-mail, the copyright line in the footer (its year is typed: update it), and the social links.
- The brochure: “Download our brochure” (Home) and “Download Brochure” (the service pages) open a sample PDF that isn’t the template’s. Upload your own brochure, or remove the buttons.
- Photos and videos: the demo uses photos from Unsplash and Pexels. Replace them with your own, in the pages, in the components and in the CMS. Replace the two videos too, or credit the hero video (Making it look like your brand).
- Your own content: the projects, services, posts and testimonials (The CMS), and the team and the awards on About.
- The forms send somewhere and require an e-mail (Forms).
- The 404 page.
Publish
Section titled “Publish”Click Publish (top right). The first time, Framer gives the site a free address (<name>.framer.website); every
later click updates it. Your site is live with HTTPS immediately. On the free plan, Framer adds a small “Made in Framer”
badge; a paid site plan removes it.
Your own domain
Section titled “Your own domain”A custom domain needs a paid Framer site plan, and Titen needs Pro because of its five CMS collections (which plan?). Then open Settings → Domains, add the domain, and follow the DNS instructions for your registrar. Framer issues the certificate for you.
After it is live
Section titled “After it is live”- Check every page on a phone and a laptop:
- the menu and the project search;
- the accordion and the service list on Home;
- the slideshows;
- the videos;
- the forms.
- Send yourself a test submission from each form.
- Check the share card: paste your address into a chat or https://www.opengraph.xyz.
- Tell Google: add the site to Search Console and submit
https://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml. Framer generates the sitemap. - Analytics: Framer’s own analytics are under the top-left menu → Analytics. Other tools can be added in Settings → Code.
Keep it moving
Section titled “Keep it moving”A new project, service or post is a CMS item (The CMS): add one, set it Live, publish. Take one off the site by setting it to Draft.
